Cookies

A cookie is information stored on your computer by a website you visit. This may be in one small file or several small files.

Cookies tend to store any settings for a website, such as your preferred language or location. When you return to the site, the cookie is used to present the website with information customized to fit your needs.

  • ‘Incognito’ in Chrome,
  • ‘InPrivate’ in Internet Explorer,
  • ‘Private Browsing’ in Firefox and Safari

Alternatively, you can set your browser not to accept cookies, although be aware many features of most web sites won’t function properly as a result.
